I am also curious about 'Technology' and it's availiability in Bulgaria.

I was introduced to computers long ago in the military. I served as a technician and cannot elaborate any further.

At that time the vast majority of people only knew about computers but had no understanding of them. My first 'Personal Computer' had only 64k ram of memory and the processing speed was just as limited. Soon after I purchased a far more 'advanced' P.C.
at great expense! Perhaps 1/3 of my annual income. I used this for Architectural/Engineering purposes.
At that time the internet as we know it did not exist and was not availiable to the general public. So much has happened since then! My head is still spinning in circles!

I no longer am involved with the technical aspects or even programing.

I live in the U.S.
Many here think nothing of leaving computers that are only a few years old
on the roadside to be collected and recycled. Even thought these computers may have cost them many hundreds or even thousands of dollars! Such a waste.
I always have in my mind that there are perhaps many, many people who cannot afford the newest and the best and would be very happy to have one.

You perhaps would understand more than most people how information and technology can enrich a man's life.

I know little about the economic situation in Bulgaria. But I assume that the level of education is very high as in many former 'Soviet' and 'Eastern Bloc' countries.

How wide spread is the ownership of personal computers by average citizens in Bulgaria? Is Internet Access affordable to most? Do the very young have access to computer technology in their school systems?

I have met with and echanged thoughts and ideas with many Russians. My experiences have also been very positive. Many people from other Slavic and Non Slavic Nations express the same feelings about Russians as individuals. But when Russian history in regards to their countries and people are discussed, Feelings are often very harsh and filled with condemnation. Is this common amongst Bulgarians? How has Mosocow treated Bulgaria and Bulgarians in the past and present? I am very curious about such matters because I have never had the opportunity to discuss such matters with any of 'MY'
Bulgarian 'Slavic Brothers'.

Respectfully,

Mykolas

You have not to have doubts that more than 70% of the people in bulgaria think for Russia as a Slavic Brothers. Here live many and many russians and they are my colleagues and best friends. Both nations have to follow its historical heritage in the future and cooperate in infrastructure projects. I am one of the good IT specialists in Balkans and in top 10 in Europe and have small software company PhotonSoft Ltd

Just curious to know how Bulgarians view Russia as a Nation and Russian people in general. Every Slavic Nation has mixed opinions on this subject! Do most Bulgarians recieve Russian's as Slavic Brothers? Or are they more cautious?

Is there any appreciable co-operation between both nations?
